“With energy costs continuing to go up, and with the recent tax credit opportunity we replaced our 14 year old system last fall, between cooling and heating seasons.  I probably could’ve got 5 more years out of it, but it was a 8 SEER unit and I felt like I was wasting money every month when I’d see how affordable 16-18 SEER units were.  So I took the plunge.  I had 4 dealers out to give me central air conditioner prices – whole system prices really, but I was most concerned about the A/C since it gets far more work than the furnace.

The next day a different crew showed up and I honestly don’t know what happened to the original boneheads.  The new crew finished the installation by 2 in the afternoon, tested the system and showed me how to use it.  They were great.  They had called the owner and he showed up as they were wrapping things up.  He apologized again for the problems with the other crew.  He looked at the dryer and offered to take $100 off the final bill.  The dent didn’t affect the performance of the dryer but I accepted it and will put it toward a new dryer for my wife, since she’s the one that has to look at that dent more than I do.
